Chowdy donates 10% of every sale and all of its profits to the Chowdy Foundation.
Our founder, William Parkinson, saw the need for a company that promoted mental health and encouraged people to seek an active, balanced life.
So in 2014 he created Chowdy: a lifestyle brand that sells colorful hats and uses its profits to support mental health organizations.
William was familiar with the the challenge of living a balanced life, as he himself suffered from Bipolar Disorder.
He named his attempt to manage the disease Chowdy, which combines the words chill and rowdy.
The Chowdy Foundation, established in 2017, continues William’s legacy by donating funds to organizations that support those who suffer from mental health challenges and their families.
